NEW DELHI, 8 August 2018: FICCI condoles the passing away of Thiru. M. Karunanidhi, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Thiru Karunanidhi was certainly one amongst the most iconic political stalwarts in the history of Tamil Nadu politics.

 

A 5-term Chief Minister of one of India's most progressive States, Thiru Karunanidhi has immensely contributed to Tamil Nadu's economic scenario and industrial development.

 

Thiru Karunanidhi's contribution to the fields of Tamil Literature and Cinema will forever be etched in history. It rightfully earned him the title of Kalaignar, which will remain for perpetuity.
