Overview
FICCI in partnership with the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) is organizing the 48th Annual Meeting of India-Japan Business Cooperation Committee (IJBCC) on 6th March, 2025 at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi with an overarching theme 'Building India-Japan Strategic Partnerships for Industrial Growth and Regional Development'. Over the years IJBCC has become an important institutional mechanism to promote investment opportunities and collaboration between India and Japan. The IJBCC was set up in 1966 to stimulate bilateral trade, investment and technological transfers through sectoral consultations. The Joint Meetings have complemented the efforts of the government of both countries. The committee is co-chaired by Mr Onkar Kanwar, Past President, FICCI & CMD, Apollo Tyres Ltd. from India and by Mr. Tatsuo Yasunaga, Chairman, Japan-India Business Cooperation Committee and Representative Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. from Japan.
The IJBCC is an industry-led initiative and for this year's edition, a 70–80-member business and investor delegation from Japan representing various potential sectors of cooperation, will be visiting India, for this annual engagement.
