Uttarakhand, with its unique geographical advantages, rich natural resources, and vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, has emerged as a key contributor to India’s economic growth. The state has demonstrated strong potential in sectors such as tourism, pharmaceuticals, food processing, horticulture, renewable energy, and manufacturing. Among these, tourism holds a particularly prominent place, given Uttarakhand’s renowned pilgrimage sites, scenic landscapes, adventure destinations, and opportunities for sustainable and wellness tourism. As the region continues to evolve as an attractive investment destination, there is a growing need for structured industry engagement and policy advocacy to catalyse inclusive and sustainable development.
The FICCI Uttarakhand State Council aims to:
• Serve as a bridge between the government, industry, and other stakeholders to facilitate policy dialogue and constructive engagement.
• Represent the interests of FICCI members in the state and address sector-specific challenges through dedicated initiatives.
• Promote Uttarakhand as an investment and tourism hub through conferences, roadshows, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
• Strengthen supply chains and infrastructure to support industrial and tourism growth.
• Facilitate collaboration between industry and academia to drive innovation and skill development.
• Support sustainable development initiatives, including green energy and responsible tourism practices.
• Work closely with state government departments and industry associations to advance the economic and social priorities of the state.
