Event Overview & Highlights
FICCI, as the National Industry Partner, supported the Government of Odisha’s multi-city investment roadshow across Gujarat, held in Ahmedabad on 5th May 2026, Mundra on 6th May 2026, and Vadodara on 7th May 2026. The roadshows were led by Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, along with senior officials from the Government of Odisha, to showcase the State’s evolving industrial ecosystem and attract investments across diverse sectors.
The engagements provided a platform for industry leaders and investors from Gujarat to interact directly with the Odisha delegation and gain insights into the State’s progressive industrial policies, infrastructure, and investment opportunities. While Odisha continues to be a leading destination for metals and metallurgy, the State is rapidly emerging as a diversified manufacturing hub with opportunities in textiles and apparel, food processing, chemicals and petrochemicals, renewable energy equipment, mechanical and electrical capital goods, semiconductors and electronics, and green fuels.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s strategic advantages, including its rich natural resources, extensive coastline, port-led infrastructure, skilled workforce, technology-driven governance, and strong policy support. These factors, coupled with close alignment between the Union and State Governments, position Odisha as an attractive destination for long-term investments.
The roadshows reinforced Odisha’s commitment to creating a globally competitive business environment and strengthening industry partnerships. They also highlighted significant opportunities for businesses from Gujarat to participate in Odisha’s growth story and contribute to its vision of becoming a future-ready manufacturing and investment hub.
FICCI remains committed to supporting such initiatives that strengthen industry-government engagement, foster inter-state economic cooperation, and facilitate meaningful investment partnerships, thereby contributing to India’s inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
